Behind Town & Country Portraits is photographer Mike Collins, whose career spans more than three decades. Beginning in commercial and advertising photography before specializing in portraiture, Mike has built a career creating timeless family portraits, executive headshots, and professional images for businesses, organizations, and private clubs.

​

His background includes commercial photography, portrait studios, private club member recognition programs, and corporate photography. Early in his career he worked with Elson-Alexander Studios before joining Bryn-Alan Studios, where he further refined his portrait skills. He later founded his own private club portrait company, serving clubs throughout the Southeast while continuing to photograph corporate meetings, conventions, and business professionals.

Over the years, Mike has created thousands of executive headshots for professionals representing organizations including KPMG, Ernst & Young, Sherwin-Williams, Enterprise, United Healthcare, and many others. He has also served as the event and headshot photographer for numerous Club Management Association of America (CMAA) conferences, giving him a unique understanding of the private club industry and the professionals who lead it.
