On Location Portraits

Getting a professional portrait done is something everyone seems to put off or rarely think about. Sadly, a lot of times we wish we had done it sooner. Children grow up. Family members move away. We get older. Portraits are a great way to help us remember ourselves at different stages of our life. Baby photos. Graduations. Marriage. Children at different stages. Parents. Grandparents.

But getting a professional portrait done is not an easy task. You need to find a local studio. You usually have to pay a sitting fee just to have them take the portraits. Then you have to meet again later to go over the portraits to choose your favorites. Then the sales pitch and you end up spending way more than you thought you would.

Mike Collins, the owner and photographer of Town & Country Portraits, has been creating beautiful portraits for over 30 years. Most of this time has been spent creating portraits for members of private country and city clubs. All taken on location at some the of the country's finest private clubs. Mike's work is world class and brings this same quality and professionalism to everyone he photographs.

We come to your location!

We are an on-location studio. We come to your location and set up all the same professional equipment we would use in a normal studio. We just need an area that is convenient for you and your members.

No charge to your company!

There is never any charge to your company! We also do not charge your members a sitting fee, which can run into the hundreds of dollars in many studios. We are happy to come to your club and offer your members a very convenient way to get a beautiful portrait done at absolutely no charge! We will in turn give digital files to your club for use in your membership software program and/or to use for whatever reason you may need images of your members. If your club has a directory app, we can furnish small digital files of each member for that. Some clubs also like having a club "family album" of all the members for them to look through to perhaps put names to faces and get to know each other a little easier.

We do offer packages and prints at very reasonable prices but there is never any obligation to purchase anything and we never use any high pressure sales tactics.

Full Portrait Sitting

Mike is a true master portrait photographer. Over the years he has perfected his craft by learning the best lighting and posing techniques to make each subject look their best. Unlike some studios that hire part timers with very little experience, Mike has been a full time professional photographer since 1986 and has created literally thousands of beautiful portraits at dozens of clubs across the country.

Mike will do a complete sitting with each member and family members, trying different poses and lighting to ensure a nice portrait. We will then sit down with the client and preview the images and help them choose their favorites. After they choose their favorite portraits they will have the opportunity to purchase however again, there is never any obligation.

Highest Quality Portraits

We only use the most talented retouchers and the finest labs to print our work. Mike prides his work by using only the best equipment, lighting and posing techniques and then carries that through by using the best photographic labs to print his work. All portraits are carefully analyzed and professionally retouched but not over done. They are then printed by a master printer and finished by being mounted and laminated for longevity. Today's printing technologies make it so professionally made prints, when stored properly, can last a lifetime before they even begin to lose any quality.
